About Event

Eligibility:
Team Participation: Maximum 2 Team members.
Solo participation is not allowed.
Participants must be a member at a university.
Participants must be between the age of 18 - 25.

Round 1 (Screening)
Teams will be asked questions(basic Quiz pattern). Points will be allotted to each question and 10 teams with the maximum score will be selected for Round 2. Submission of answers will be via Google forms.

Round 2 (Buzzer Round)
This will be a BUZZER ROUND. No questions can be passed. Points will be allotted to each question and 3 teams with the highest scores will be shortlisted as Finalists for the Grand Finale.

Round 3 (Grand Finale)
The pattern of the questions will be changed slightly and specific topics will be touched upon for these questions. No limit will be set on the number of passes allowed. However, if none of the teams can answer a question, the quizmaster will move ahead to the next question. Points will be allotted to each question and the team with the highest score will be declared the winner.

Structure

Round 1

The number of questions - 15
Points per question - 5
Points for a passed question - 2.5
Total time required for Round 1 - 15 mins(Q&A) + 7 mins(buffer) = 22 minutes

Round 2

The number of questions - 10
Points per question - 10
Time per question - 45 seconds
Total time required for Round 2 - 18 mins(Q&A) + 7 mins(buffer) = 25 minutes
Answering method: On-screen via a buzzer

Round 3

The number of questions - 15
Points per question - 10
Time per question - 30 seconds
Total time required for Round 3 - 18 mins(Q&A) + 7 mins(buffer) = 25 minutes
Answering method: On-screen

Anti Cheating Measures
1. Questions will require Higher Order Thinking Skills(HOTS).
2. Prevent backtracking - No falling back on questions. Once you are done, you are done.
3. Hands to be visible on the screen all the time.

Rules and Regulations
This is a Team event. Individual participation is not allowed.
Any discussion regarding any question has to be done on the screen itself. Use of WhatsApp/Instagram/any other platform for communication is prohibited.
Discussion via call will be allowed in Rounds 1 and 2 but will not be allowed in the final round.
All Discussion for the Final round must take place live, on the screen itself.

Non-cooperation with the Xenia Core Team will result in immediate disqualification.
